Kelly C. Tobin
Kelly C. Tobin is a principal member of TKM Law, L.L.C. He is a 1989 graduate of the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law and is an alumni of the University of Missouri – Kansas City.
He has a variety of experience in representing clients in disputes involving banking, construction, contract litigation, insurance disputes, real estate, employment disputes, discrimination, civil rights, bankruptcy, debtor–creditor, banking, taxation, and various business and personal litigation. Kelly has a variety of experience in and has represented clients in front of tax increment financing commissions, city departments, state and federal agencies.
He is admitted as a member to practice and has represented clients and argued cases in the state trial and appellate courts of Missouri and Kansas, the United States District Court - Western District of Missouri, the United States District Court – District of Kansas and the United States Court of Appeals – Eighth Circuit.
In addition to litigation, Kelly represents small and medium sized business in their corporate creation and governance and has worked in the field of venture capital. He has experience in loan negotiation, enforcement and defense and is personally responsible for or has assisted in the creation of numerous business and non–profit charitable entities. In addition to representing others, Mr. Tobin has an extensive personal experience in managing small and medium sized businesses and is acutely aware of the daily requirements and challenges faced by independent business owners and entrepreneurs.
